蒙辱因敵眾。無顏見比鄰。相知競迴避。有如眼中釘。

I am forgotten as though I were dead; I have become like broken pottery.

I am ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot.

I am forgotten: gone from memory like a dead person— like broken pottery.

I am forgotten like a dead person, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

I am forgotten, like a dead man no one thinks about; I am regarded as worthless, like a broken jar.

I am forgotten from their hearts like a dead man. I am like broken pottery.

People think my life is over. I’m like someone who doesn’t have any strength.People treat me as if I were dead. I’m like those who have been killed and are now in the grave. You don’t even remember them anymore. They are cut off from your care.

It breaks into small pieces like a clay pot. It breaks up completely. Not one piece is left big enough for taking coals from a fireplace. Not one piece is left for dipping water out of a well.”

It is written,“ They will rule them with an iron scepter. They will break them to pieces like clay pots.”( Psalm 2:9) Their authority is like the authority I’ve received from my Father.

You will break them with an iron scepter. You will smash them to pieces like clay pots.”

I’m as useless as a wineskin that smoke has dried up. But I don’t forget to follow your orders.

Isn’t the potter free to make different kinds of pots out of the same lump of clay? Some are for special purposes. Others are for ordinary use.What if God chose to show his great anger? What if he chose to make his power known? But he put up with the people he was angry with. They were made to be destroyed.

I said,“ Lord, I’ll never see you again while I’m still alive. I’ll never see people anymore. I’ll never again be with those who live in this world.My body is like a shepherd’s tent. It has been pulled down and carried off. My life is like a piece of cloth that I’ve rolled up. You have cut it off from the loom. In a short period of time you have brought my life to an end.
