Lord, I have come to you for safety. Don’t let me ever be put to shame. Save me, because you do what is right.

As Scripture says,“ Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”

I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.

In you our ancestors put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.

For your name’s sake, Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.

Let the Lord judge the peoples. Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure— you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts.

Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.

Kings will be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down before you with their faces to the ground; they will lick the dust at your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord; those who hope in me will not be disappointed.”
