You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.

Lord, you brought me up from the place of the dead. You kept me from going down into the pit.

O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.

LORD, you brought me up from Sheol; you spared me from among those going down to the Pit.

Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.

O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

O Jehovah, thou hast brought up my soul from Sheol; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Lord, You brought me up from Sheol; You spared me from among those going down to the Pit.

O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

O LORD, you pulled me up from Sheol; you rescued me from among those descending into the grave.

Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

To you, Lord, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.

For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.

because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.

God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’

For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.

Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling,

I said,‘ I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit.

“ Or someone may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in their bones,so that their body finds food repulsive and their soul loathes the choicest meal.Their flesh wastes away to nothing, and their bones, once hidden, now stick out.They draw near to the pit, and their life to the messengers of death.
