You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit.

Lord, you brought me up from the place of the dead. You kept me from going down into the pit.

O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

You brought me up from the grave, O Lord. You kept me from falling into the pit of death.

Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest,[ if] thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

For great[ is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death:[ wilt] not[ thou deliver] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

[ Thou], which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,[ and] established my goings.

Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul[ delivered it] from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.For the grave cannot praise thee, death can[ not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears,[ and] my feet from falling.

Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.The waters compassed me about,[ even] to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars[ was] about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.

He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong[ pain]:So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones[ that] were not seen stick out.Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.
