求主垂憐。加以神助。

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,

You turned my loud crying into dancing. You removed my clothes of sadness and dressed me with joy.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have untied my sackcloth and encircled me with joy,

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Then you turned my lament into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and covered me with joy.

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,

Again I will build you so that you will be rebuilt, Virgin Israel. You will take up your tambourines again and go out in joyful dancing.

a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;

When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations,“ The LORD has done great things for them.”

Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and flute.

David was dancing with all his might before the LORD wearing a linen ephod.

Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and lyre.

When he has swallowed up death once and for all, the Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove his people’s disgrace from the whole earth, for the LORD has spoken.

Then the young women will rejoice with dancing, while young and old men rejoice together. I will turn their mourning into joy, give them consolation, and bring happiness out of grief.I will refresh the priests with an abundance, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness. This is the LORD’s declaration.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.

You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound.

“ But the father told his servants,‘ Quick! Bring out the best robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.

Be glad for Jerusalem and rejoice over her, all who love her. Rejoice greatly with her, all who mourn over her—so that you may nurse and be satisfied from her comforting breast and drink deeply and delight yourselves from her glorious breasts.

Our God, will you not judge them? For we are powerless before this vast number that comes to fight against us. We do not know what to do, but we look to you.

I rejoice greatly in the LORD, I exult in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, as a groom wears a turban and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Jehoshaphat was afraid, and he resolved to seek the LORD. Then he proclaimed a fast for all Judah,

Then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem turned back with Jehoshaphat their leader, returning joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD enabled them to rejoice over their enemies.So they came into Jerusalem to the LORD’s temple with harps, lyres, and trumpets.

to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD to glorify him.

Therefore, a strong people will honor you. The cities of violent nations will fear you.

All his sons and daughters tried to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted.“ No,” he said.“ I will go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” And his father wept for him.

“ If disaster comes on us— sword or judgment, pestilence or famine— we will stand before this temple and before you, for your name is in this temple. We will cry out to you because of our distress, and you will hear and deliver.”

Then he said to them,“ Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Then Israel said,“ Enough! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go to see him before I die.”

because during those days the Jews gained relief from their enemies. That was the month when their sorrow was turned into rejoicing and their mourning into a holiday. They were to be days of feasting, rejoicing, and of sending gifts to one another and to the poor.

Truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You will become sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn to joy.

I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple. The one seated on the throne will shelter them:They will no longer hunger; they will no longer thirst; the sun will no longer strike them, nor will any scorching heat.For the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will shepherd them; he will guide them to springs of the waters of life, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
