Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.Then I called on Yahweh’s name:“ Yahweh, I beg you, deliver my soul.”
