“ Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you observe the calving of the does?Can you number the months that they fulfill, and do you know the time when they give birth,when they crouch, bring forth their offspring, and are delivered of their young?

O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.

Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. SelahThere is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple.

The glory of his forest and of his fruitful land the Lord will destroy, both soul and body, and it will be as when a sick man wastes away.The remnant of the trees of his forest will be so few that a child can write them down.

“ Son of man, set your face toward the southland; preach against the south, and prophesy against the forest land in the Negeb.Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, I will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every green tree in you and every dry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from south to north shall be scorched by it.All flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”

Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!Lift up your hands to the holy place and bless the Lord!

So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.

For wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns; it kindles the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.
