Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe.

Lift your hands toward the sanctuary, and praise the Lord.

In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

I said to the Lord,“ You are my God!” Listen, O Lord, to my cries for mercy!

But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.

Then the priests carried the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant into the inner sanctuary of the Temple— the Most Holy Place— and placed it beneath the wings of the cherubim.The cherubim spread their wings over the Ark, forming a canopy over the Ark and its carrying poles.These poles were so long that their ends could be seen from the Holy Place, which is in front of the Most Holy Place, but not from the outside. They are still there to this day.

I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain. Interlude
