O LORD, I love the temple where you live, the place where your splendor is revealed.

He found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting.He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money and overthrew their tables.To those who sold the doves, he said,“ Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”His disciples remembered that it was written,“ Zeal for your house will eat me up.”

One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.For in the day of trouble, he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the secret place of his tabernacle, he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh.

He entered into the temple, and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it,saying to them,“ It is written,‘ My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a‘ den of robbers’!”He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests, the scribes, and the leading men among the people sought to destroy him.

For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, I will seek your good.

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh’s glory filled the tabernacle.

so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for Yahweh’s glory filled God’s house.Then Solomon said,“ Yahweh has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.But I have built you a house and home, a place for you to dwell in forever.”

I was glad when they said to me,“ Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!”Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem,Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together,where the tribes go up, even Yah’s tribes, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to Yahweh’s name.

The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

Yahweh will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in Yahweh’s house.

In addition, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, since I have a treasure of my own of gold and silver, I give it to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the covenant that I will give you.There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the covenant, all that I command you for the children of Israel.

So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions.

These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I used to go with the crowd, and led them to God’s house, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude keeping a holy day.
