耶和華啊，我洗手表明清白，再走到你的壇前，

永恆主啊，我要洗手表明無辜，才來繞行你的祭壇，

耶和華啊，我要洗淨雙手表明清白，還要繞著你的祭壇而行，

耶和華歟、我將盥手、以表無辜、環於爾壇兮、

我必盥手以示無辜、而詣耶和華臺前兮、

主歟、我必洗淨我手、巡繞主之祭臺、

洗手滌餘穢。留連於閟幄。

I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, Lord,

I wash my hands to show that I’m not guilty. Lord, I come near your altar.

I maintain a pure lifestyle, so I can appear before your altar, O LORD,

Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence,

Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet in it.When they go into the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water, that they not die; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.

Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh,and having a great priest over God’s house,let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,

He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

“ If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of Yahweh which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.Yahweh will cut off, to the man who does this, him who wakes and him who answers, out of the tents of Jacob, and him who offers an offering to Yahweh of Armies.This again you do: you cover Yahweh’s altar with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he doesn’t regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.
