For the Scripture says,“ Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.”

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame.

They cried to You, and were delivered; They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.

In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.

Kings shall be your foster fathers, And their queens your nursing mothers; They shall bow down to you with their faces to the earth, And lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am the Lord, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me.”

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?Consider and hear me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of death;Lest my enemy say,“ I have prevailed against him”; Lest those who trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Lord, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph?

‘ For I will defend this city, to save it For My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’”

Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the Lord, You alone.”

O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me,

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I.

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,“ Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”

Be merciful to me, O God, for man would swallow me up; Fighting all day he oppresses me.

Thus says the king:‘ Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you;nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord, saying,“ The Lord will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”’Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria:‘ Make peace with me by a present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern;until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying,“ The Lord will deliver us.” Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria?Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand?Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?’”

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?

“ Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying:‘ Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying,“ Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Let them not rejoice over me who are wrongfully my enemies; Nor let them wink with the eye who hate me without a cause.For they do not speak peace, But they devise deceitful matters Against the quiet ones in the land.They also opened their mouth wide against me, And said,“ Aha, aha! Our eyes have seen it.”This You have seen, O Lord; Do not keep silence. O Lord, do not be far from me.Stir up Yourself, and awake to my vindication, To my cause, my God and my Lord.Vindicate me, O Lord my God, according to Your righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.Let them not say in their hearts,“ Ah, so we would have it!” Let them not say,“ We have swallowed him up.”

“ He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”

And the Lord shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him.

You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them; You shall rejoice in the Lord, And glory in the Holy One of Israel.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; Whoever believes will not act hastily.
