And I waited for sympathy, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.

When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour.At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice,“ Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktanei?” which is translated,“ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”And when some of the bystanders heard Him, they began saying,“ Look! He is calling for Elijah!”

God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; restore us!

He will again take pity on us; He will trample on our wrongdoings. Yes, You will cast all their sins Into the depths of the sea.

So now, our God, listen to the prayer of Your servant and to his pleas, and for Your sake, Lord, let Your face shine on Your desolate sanctuary.
