He set it firmly on the oceans. He made it secure on the waters.

Do you not fear Me?’ declares the Lord.‘ Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal limit, and it will not cross over it. Though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; Though they roar, they will not cross over it.

Then God said,“ Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.And God called the dry land“ earth,” and the gathering of the waters He called“ seas”; and God saw that it was good.

Say among the nations,“ The Lord reigns; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved; He will judge the peoples fairly.”

This is what you shall say to them:“ The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.”It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom; And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens.When He utters His voice, there is a roar of waters in the heavens, And He makes the clouds ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.Every person is stupid, devoid of knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, For his cast metal images are deceitful, And there is no breath in them.They are worthless, a work of mockery; At the time of their punishment they will perish.The Portion of Jacob is not like these; For He is the Maker of everything, And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; The Lord of armies is His name.

In whose hand are the depths of the earth, The peaks of the mountains are also His.

For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water,through which the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water.But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord has clothed and encircled Himself with strength. Indeed, the world is firmly established; it will not be moved.

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding,

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their lights.

While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”

“ Or who enclosed the sea with doors When it went out from the womb, bursting forth;When I made a cloud its garment, And thick darkness its swaddling bands,And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors,And I said,‘ As far as this point you shall come, but no farther; And here your proud waves shall stop’?
