I will lead blind Israel down a new path, guiding them along an unfamiliar way. I will brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Yes, I will indeed do these things; I will not forsake them.

You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this danger.

The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I run to you to hide me.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.

Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.

I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands.

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!

I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths.

Righteousness goes as a herald before him, preparing the way for his steps.

Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.

Now restore us again, O God of our salvation. Put aside your anger against us once more.Will you be angry with us always? Will you prolong your wrath to all generations?Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?Show us your unfailing love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.

But again I held back in order to protect the honor of my name before the nations who had seen my power in bringing Israel out of Egypt.

The Lord says,“ Then I will heal you of your faithlessness; my love will know no bounds, for my anger will be gone forever.I will be to Israel like a refreshing dew from heaven. Israel will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon.Its branches will spread out like beautiful olive trees, as fragrant as the cedars of Lebanon.My people will again live under my shade. They will flourish like grain and blossom like grapevines. They will be as fragrant as the wines of Lebanon.“ O Israel, stay away from idols! I am the one who answers your prayers and cares for you. I am like a tree that is always green; all your fruit comes from me.”Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together.

For I will bring them from the north and from the distant corners of the earth. I will not forget the blind and lame, the expectant mothers and women in labor. A great company will return!

Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.I will be patient as the Lord punishes me, for I have sinned against him. But after that, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness.

I will certainly bring my people back again from all the countries where I will scatter them in my fury. I will bring them back to this very city and let them live in peace and safety.They will be my people, and I will be their God.And I will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants.And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.I will find joy doing good for them and will faithfully and wholeheartedly replant them in this land.“ This is what the Lord says: Just as I have brought all these calamities on them, so I will do all the good I have promised them.
