I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.

For you are my high ridge and my stronghold; for the sake of your own reputation you lead me and guide me.

The law of the LORD is perfect and preserves one’s life. The rules set down by the LORD are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.

Create for me a pure heart, O God! Renew a resolute spirit within me!

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

I have wandered off like a lost sheep. Come looking for your servant, for I do not forget your commands.

There is no other God like you! You forgive sin and pardon the rebellion of those who remain among your people. You do not remain angry forever, but delight in showing loyal love.You will once again have mercy on us; you will conquer our evil deeds; you will hurl our sins into the depths of the sea.

I will guide you in the way of wisdom and I will lead you in upright paths.

Deliverance goes before him, and prepares a pathway for him.

Help us, O God, our deliverer! For the sake of your glorious reputation, rescue us! Forgive our sins for the sake of your reputation!

Restore us, O God our deliverer! Do not be displeased with us!Will you stay mad at us forever? Will you remain angry throughout future generations?Will you not revive us once more? Then your people will rejoice in you!O LORD, show us your loyal love! Bestow on us your deliverance!

I acted for the sake of my reputation, so that I would not be profaned before the nations in whose sight I had brought them out.

For the ways of the LORD are right; the godly walk in them, but in them the rebellious stumble.

to the praise of the glory of his grace that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son.

Magnify the LORD with me! Let’s praise his name together!

Then I will reply,‘ I will bring them back from the land of the north. I will gather them in from the distant parts of the earth. Blind and lame people will come with them, so will pregnant women and women about to give birth. A vast throng of people will come back here.

My enemies, do not gloat over me! Though I have fallen, I will get up. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.I must endure the LORD’s anger, for I have sinned against him. But then he will defend my cause, and accomplish justice on my behalf. He will lead me out into the light; I will experience firsthand his deliverance.

‘ I will certainly regather my people from all the countries where I will have exiled them in my anger, fury, and great wrath. I will bring them back to this place and allow them to live here in safety.They will be my people, and I will be their God.I will give them a single-minded purpose to live in a way that always shows respect for me. They will want to do that for their own good and the good of the children who descend from them.I will make a lasting covenant with them that I will never stop doing good to them. I will fill their hearts and minds with respect for me so that they will never again turn away from me.I will take delight in doing good to them. I will faithfully and wholeheartedly plant them firmly in the land.’“ For I, the LORD, say:‘ I will surely bring on these people all the good fortune that I am hereby promising them. I will be just as sure to do that as I have been in bringing all this great disaster on them.

“ Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat,but I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
