To you they cried out and were saved; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: They trusted in thee, and were not put to shame.

Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.”

even as it is written,“ Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed.”

Because it is contained in Scripture,“ Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen and precious: He who believes in him will not be disappointed.”

Israel will be saved by Yahweh with an everlasting salvation. You will not be disappointed nor confounded to ages everlasting.

In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Never let me be disappointed.

For the Scripture says,“ Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”

In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.

Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord Yahweh of Armies. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.

My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.Yes, no one who waits for you will be shamed. They will be shamed who deal treacherously without cause.

Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who call on his name. They called on Yahweh, and he answered them.He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.

The children of Israel cried to Yahweh, for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and he mightily oppressed the children of Israel for twenty years.

Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.

The children of Israel cried to Yahweh, saying,“ We have sinned against you, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.”Yahweh said to the children of Israel,“ Didn’t I save you from the Egyptians, and from the Amorites, from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines?The Sidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, oppressed you; and you cried to me, and I saved you out of their hand.Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods. Therefore I will save you no more.Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them save you in the time of your distress!”The children of Israel said to Yahweh,“ We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems good to you; only deliver us, please, today.”They put away the foreign gods from among them and served Yahweh; and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

Israel was brought very low because of Midian; and the children of Israel cried to Yahweh.
