因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

He has not forgotten the one who is hurting. He has not turned away from his suffering. He has not turned his face away from him. He has listened to his cry for help.

For that reason I am steadfastly resolved; I know I will not be put to shame.The one who vindicates me is close by. Who dares to argue with me? Let us confront each other! Who is my accuser? Let him challenge me!Look, the sovereign LORD helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

In my distress I cried out to the LORD. The LORD answered me and put me in a wide open place.

The ropes of death tightened around me, the snares of Sheol confronted me. I was confronted with trouble and sorrow.I called on the name of the LORD,“ Please LORD, rescue my life!”The LORD is merciful and fair; our God is compassionate.The LORD protects the untrained; I was in serious trouble and he delivered me.

My God, I cry out during the day, but you do not answer, and during the night my prayers do not let up.

I am oppressed and suffering! O God, deliver and protect me!I will sing praises to God’s name! I will magnify him as I give him thanks!That will please the LORD more than an ox or a bull with horns and hooves.The oppressed look on– let them rejoice! You who seek God, may you be encouraged!For the LORD listens to the needy; he does not despise his captive people.Let the heavens and the earth praise him, along with the seas and everything that swims in them!

But I am a worm, not a man; people insult me and despise me.

This oppressed man cried out and the LORD heard; he saved him from all his troubles.

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said,“ Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And after he said this he breathed his last.

With all my strength I will say,“ O LORD, who can compare to you? You rescue the oppressed from those who try to overpower them; the oppressed and needy from those who try to rob them.”

Do not ignore your servant, for I am in trouble! Answer me right away!
