因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

基督在他肉身的日子、既用壯烈的哭號和眼淚、向那能救他脫死的獻祈求和懇請，就因了虔敬而蒙垂聽；

我將我的背脊給擊打的人擊打，將我的腮頰給拔鬍鬚的人扯拔，我並沒有掩面以躲避羞辱，而免被吐唾沬。主永恆主幫助着我，故此我不狼狽周章；故此我板着臉好像硬石頭，我知道我必不至於失望；證顯我理直的和我相近；誰跟我爭訟？我們可以一同站起來。誰是我的對頭？儘可走近我來。看哪，主永恆主幫助着我；誰能定我有罪呢？看哪，他們都像衣服、漸漸破舊，蛀蟲把他們咬啦。

我從困苦中呼求永恆主，他就應了我，把我安置於寬闊之地。

死亡的繩索纏繞着我，陰間的困苦抓住了我；我被患難愁苦抓住時，我便呼求永恆主的名，說：『哦，永恆主啊，搭救我的性命哦！』永恆主有恩惠，有義氣；我們的上帝以憐憫為懷。永恆主保護愚直人；我落到卑微地步，他拯救了我。

我的上帝啊，我白日呼求，你不應；我夜間呼求，都得不着安寧。

但我呢、我是困苦傷痛的；上帝啊，願你的拯救保護我於高處。我要以詩歌頌讚上帝的名，以稱謝尊他為大。這便使永恆主喜悅，勝於獻牛、或獻有角有蹄的公牛。困苦人看見就喜樂；尋求上帝的人哪，願你們的心甦醒。因為永恆主聽了貧窮人；他自己的人被擄的、他也不藐視。願天、地、海、和其中的一切動物、都頌讚他。

至於我呢、我乃是蟲子，並不是人；我被人羞辱，被眾民藐視。

這困苦人呼求，永恆主便垂聽，救他脫離一切的患難。

耶穌大聲呼喊說：『父啊，我將我的靈託付在你手裏。』說了這話，就斷了氣。

我的骨頭都要說：『永恆主啊，誰能比得上你？援救困苦人脫離那比他強的，援救貧窮人脫離那搶奪他的？』

不要掩面不顧你僕人哦；因為我在急難之中，求你趕快應我。
