因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

He has not forgotten the one who is hurting. He has not turned away from his suffering. He has not turned his face away from him. He has listened to his cry for help.

O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.

But I am afflicted and in pain; let your salvation, O God, set me on high!I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving.This will please the Lord more than an ox or a bull with horns and hoofs.When the humble see it they will be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive.For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them.

But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

Then Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said,“ Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” And having said this he breathed his last.

All my bones shall say,“ O Lord, who is like you, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, the poor and needy from him who robs him?”

Hide not your face from your servant, for I am in distress; make haste to answer me.
