因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

For he has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

基督在世为人的时候，曾经声泪俱下地祈求能救祂脱离死亡的上帝。祂因为敬虔而蒙了应允。

人打我的背，我任他打；人拔我的胡子，我任他拔；人侮辱我，朝我吐唾沫，我也不掩面。我并不觉得羞愧，因为主耶和华帮助我。我心如坚石，知道自己必不会蒙羞。为我伸张正义的来了，谁要控告我呢？让我们来理论吧！谁是我的控告者呢？让他到我这里来吧！看啊，有主耶和华帮助我，谁能定我有罪呢？看啊，他们都要像衣服一样渐渐破旧，被蛀虫吃掉。

我在苦难中求告耶和华，祂就答应我，救我脱离困境。

死亡的绳索缠绕我，阴间的恐怖笼罩我，我被困苦和忧愁淹没。于是，我求告耶和华，说：“耶和华啊，求你拯救我。”耶和华仁慈、公义，我们的上帝充满怜悯。耶和华保护心地单纯的人，危难之时祂救了我。

我的上帝啊，我日夜不停地呼求，你却没有回应。

上帝啊，我陷入痛苦和忧伤，求你拯救我，保护我。我要用歌声赞美上帝的名，以感恩的心尊崇祂。这要比献上有蹄有角的公牛等祭牲更讨耶和华喜悦。卑微的人看见这一切就欢喜快乐，愿你们寻求上帝的人精神振奋。耶和华垂听穷苦人的祈求，不轻看祂被囚的子民。愿天地都赞美祂，愿海和其中的一切都赞美祂！

但我好像不是人，只是一条虫，受尽人的羞辱和藐视。

我这可怜的人向祂呼求，祂就垂听，救我脱离一切困境。

耶稣大声喊着说：“父啊，我将我的灵魂交在你手中。”说完，就断气了。

我从心底发出赞叹：耶和华啊，谁能像你？你拯救弱者免受欺压，拯救穷人免遭掠夺。

求你不要掩面不理你的仆人。我正身陷困境，求你快快答应我。
