因窮苦人受難之時、主未嘗藐視、未嘗厭棄、未嘗向其掩面、其呼籲時、主曾俯聽、

願凡虔敬之人兮。播揚仁風。願雅谷之苗裔兮。聖道是弘。願義塞之子孫兮。惟主是崇。

The cords of death compassed me, And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.Jehovah preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou answerest not; And in the night season, and am not silent.

But I am poor and sorrowful: Let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify him with thanksgiving.And it will please Jehovah better than an ox, Or a bullock that hath horns and hoofs.The meek have seen it, and are glad: Ye that seek after God, let your heart live.For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.Let heaven and earth praise him, The seas, and everything that moveth therein.

But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and despised of the people.

And hide not thy face from thy servant; For I am in distress; answer me speedily.
