难道上帝听到祂拣选的人昼夜呼求，不替他们申冤吗？难道祂会一直耽延不理吗？

我不吃不喝，昼夜以泪洗面，人们整天讥笑我：“你的上帝在哪里？”

耶和华，拯救我的上帝啊，我昼夜不停地呼求你。

我日夜不停地为你祷告，对我效法祖先用清洁的良心事奉的上帝充满了感恩。

你以密云遮盖自己，以致祷告达不到你那里。

耶稣再次离开他们，第三次去祷告，说的是同样的话。

一天，耶稣到山上整夜向上帝祷告。

但我要呼求耶和华上帝，祂必拯救我。晚上、早晨和中午，我发出痛苦的呼求，祂必垂听。

万军之上帝耶和华啊，你因你子民的祷告而发怒，要到何时呢？

然后，祂独自走到离门徒约有扔一块石头那么远的地方跪下祷告：“父啊，若你愿意，求你撤去此杯。然而，愿你的旨意成就，而非我的意愿。”有一位从天上来的天使向祂显现，给祂加添力量。祂心中极其悲痛，祷告更恳切，汗珠如血滴在地上。祂祷告完后，便起身回到门徒那里，看见他们因忧愁而疲惫地睡着了，就说：“你们为什么睡觉呢？要起来祷告，以免陷入诱惑！”

我们昼夜恳切祷告，渴望能见到你们，弥补你们信心的不足之处。

即使我哀哭呼求，祂也掩耳不听。
