Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet.

A group of sinful people has closed in on me. They are all around me like a pack of dogs. They have pierced my hands and my feet.

For dogs encompass me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet—

My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him.And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him. (niv)

But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. (niv)

Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd,“ I find no basis for a charge against this man.”But they insisted,“ He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here.” (niv)

Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. (niv)

The men who were guarding Jesus began mocking and beating him.They blindfolded him and demanded,“ Prophesy! Who hit you?”And they said many other insulting things to him.At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and the teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them.“ If you are the Messiah,” they said,“ tell us.” Jesus answered,“ If I tell you, you will not believe me,and if I asked you, you would not answer.But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.”They all asked,“ Are you then the Son of God?” He replied,“ You say that I am.”Then they said,“ Why do we need any more testimony? We have heard it from his own lips.” (niv)

They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city. (niv)

Deliver me from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs. (niv)

The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him.Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate. (niv)

Watch out for those dogs, those evildoers, those mutilators of the flesh. (niv)

“ Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. (niv)

Your relatives, members of your own family— even they have betrayed you; they have raised a loud cry against you. Do not trust them, though they speak well of you. (niv)

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (niv)

Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled. (niv)

Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God; ruthless people are trying to kill me— they have no regard for you. (niv)

Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” (niv)

When Jesus went outside, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions,waiting to catch him in something he might say. (niv)

They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city. (niv)

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. (niv)
