體渙解兮骨脫。心消融兮如蠟。

這事以後，耶穌知道一切都已經成就了，為了要使經上的話應驗，就說：“我渴了。”

所以，我要使他與偉大的人同分，他必與強盛的均分擄物，因為他把自己的性命傾倒，以致於死。他被列在罪犯之中，卻擔當了多人的罪，又為罪犯代求。

他們在我的食物中加上苦膽，我渴了，他們把醋給我喝。

我因不住呼求而疲倦，我的喉嚨發乾；我因等候我的神，眼睛昏花。

我的心劇烈跳動，我的力量衰退；連我眼中的光彩也消逝了。

我閉口不認罪的時候，就整天唉哼，以致骨頭衰殘。因為你的手晝夜重壓在我身上，我的精力耗盡，好像盛暑的乾旱。（細拉）

我從前領受了又傳交給你們那最要緊的，就是基督照著聖經所記的，為我們的罪死了，

你向牠們掩面，牠們就驚慌；你收回牠們的氣息，牠們就死亡，歸回塵土。

心裡喜樂就是良藥；心靈憂鬱使骨頭枯乾。

眾領袖都不敢作聲，他們的舌頭緊貼上顎。

耶穌再大聲呼叫，氣就斷了。

必有許多睡在塵土中的人醒過來，有的要得永生，有的要受羞辱，永遠被憎惡。

有血肉生命的就都一同氣絕身亡，世人都歸回塵土。

亞伯拉罕回答，說：“我雖然是灰塵，還大膽地對我主說話。

求你記念你造我如摶泥，你還要使我歸於塵土嗎？

“我被害流血，下到深坑，有甚麼益處呢？塵土還能稱讚你，還能傳揚你的信實嗎？

你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，直到你歸回地土，因為你是從地土取出來的；你既然是塵土，就要歸回塵土。”

你為甚麼不赦免我的過犯，除去我的罪孽呢？現在我快要躺臥在塵土中，那時你尋找我，我卻不在了。”

嬰兒的舌頭因乾渴而緊貼上膛；孩童求餅，卻沒有人分給他們。
