我默然不语、拒绝认罪的时候，就因整日哀叹而身心疲惫。你昼夜管教我，我的精力耗尽，如水在盛夏枯竭。（细拉）

我所领受并传给你们的最重要的信息是：基督照圣经的记载为我们的罪死了，

你若对它们弃而不顾，它们会惊慌失措。你一收回它们的气息，它们便死亡，归于尘土。

喜乐的心乃是良药，忧伤的灵使骨枯干。

权贵都静默无声，舌头紧贴上膛。

耶稣又大喊了一声，就断了气。

许多长眠地下的人必醒过来，有些得到永生，有些蒙受羞辱，永远被憎恶。

所有生灵将一同灭亡，世人也将归回尘土。

亚伯拉罕说：“主啊，虽然我渺小如灰尘，但我还要大胆地求问你，

别忘了你用泥土造我，难道要使我复归尘土？

“耶和华啊，我被毁灭、落入坟墓有何益处？我归于尘土，还能赞美你、宣扬你的信实吗？

你必汗流满面，才有饭吃，一直到你归回尘土。因为你是尘土造的，也必归回尘土。”

为何不赦免我的过犯，饶恕我的罪恶？我很快将归于尘土，你将寻找我，而我已不复存在。”

婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。
