其口孔張、吼似猛獅兮、

向我張口、猶如猛獅攫物而吼、

健牡紛紛兮。圍我周匝。來自巴珊兮。洶洶相逼。

They are like roaring lions that tear to pieces what they kill. They open their mouths wide to attack me.

Like lions they open their jaws against me, roaring and tearing into their prey.

They open their mouths against me— lions, mauling and roaring.

They open their mouths wide at me, As a ravening and roaring lion.

They gape at Me with their mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion.

They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.

They open their mouths against me— lions, mauling and roaring.

They gaped upon me[ with] their mouths,[ as] a ravening and a roaring lion.

They open their mouths to devour me like a roaring lion that rips its prey.

They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.

They sneer at me and say,“ Aha! Aha! With our own eyes we have seen it.”

They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a fierce lion crouching in cover.

“ All our enemies have opened their mouths wide against us.

All your enemies open their mouths wide against you; they scoff and gnash their teeth and say,“ We have swallowed her up. This is the day we have waited for; we have lived to see it.”

People open their mouths to jeer at me; they strike my cheek in scorn and unite together against me.

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads.

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death.But they did not find any, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forwardand declared,“ This fellow said,‘ I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus,“ Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?”But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him,“ I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”“ You have said so,” Jesus replied.“ But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”Then the high priest tore his clothes and said,“ He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy.

Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says’— when the Lord has not spoken.

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

How long, Lord, will you look on? Rescue me from their ravages, my precious life from these lions.

or they will tear me apart like a lion and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
