萬軍之耶和華說：「看哪！那日子將要來到，燃燒如火爐；所有傲慢的和作惡的都必成為麥稭，那要來的日子必把他們燒盡，不留下一根一枝。

濃煙從他的鼻孔上騰，吞噬的烈火從他口中而出，火炭也從他那裡燃起。

我們的神來臨，絕不沉默；烈火在他面前吞噬，暴風在他四圍颳起。

耶和華啊，你的手高舉，他們卻不看！願他們看到你對子民的熱心就蒙羞；願你為敵人所預備的烈火吞噬他們！

神要在烈火中報應那些不認識神的人，以及那些不順從我們主耶穌福音的人；

當親吻他的兒子，否則他一發怒，你們就在所行的路上滅亡，因為他的怒火片刻間就會燃起！所有投靠他的人是多麼蒙福啊！

那時他在怒氣中向他們說話，在烈怒中使他們惶恐，說：

他俯瞰所多瑪和格摩拉，以及平原全地；看哪，只見那地有煙上騰，像窯爐的煙那樣！

他們對山嶺和岩石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，好躲避坐在寶座上那一位的臉和羔羊的震怒；因為他們震怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

他手裡拿著揚穀的杴，要揚淨他的打穀場，把他的麥子收進倉庫，卻把糠秕用不滅的火燒掉。」

神哪，求你恩待我！因為世人踐踏我，與我爭戰的人終日壓迫我。我的仇敵終日踐踏我，狂傲地與我爭戰的人實在多！

地就裂開，吞掉了大坍，掩埋了亞比蘭的同黨。

阻止我們向外邦人傳道使外邦人得救。這樣，他們常常積滿自己的罪孽，而神的震怒在最後臨到了他們身上！

然後，死亡和陰間被丟進火湖裡，這火湖就是第二次的死亡。

王就發怒，派軍兵除滅那些凶手，燒毀了他們的城。

又命令他軍隊中幾個最強壯的人，把沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥綁起來，扔進烈火燃燒的窯中。於是這三個人穿著長袍、長褲和其他的衣服，戴著頭巾，被綁起來扔進了烈火燃燒的窯中。由於從王發出的命令急迫，窯又燒得非常熱，烈火的火焰燒死了那些抬沙德拉克、米沙克、亞伯尼哥的人。

現在斧子已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹都要被砍下來，被丟進火裡。

那時王要對在左邊的人說：『你們這些被詛咒的人！離開我！進到那已經為魔鬼和他的使者們所預備好的永遠的火裡去！
