「萬軍之耶和華說，『那日要來臨了，就像燒紅的火爐，所有狂妄自大、作惡多端的人都要像碎稭一樣被火燒盡，連根帶枝，蕩然無存。

祂的鼻孔冒煙，口噴烈焰和火炭。

祂手拿簸箕，要把穀場清理乾淨，將麥子存入倉裡，用不滅的火把糠秕燒盡。」

那將比海沙還重；所以我言語魯莽。

上帝啊，求你憐憫我，因為仇敵攻擊我，整日迫害我。我的仇敵整日攻擊我，許多人狂妄地迫害我。

於是大地裂開，吞沒了大坍、亞比蘭和他們的家人。

又命令軍中的勇士將沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌綁起來，扔進烈焰熊熊的火窯。這三人穿著外袍、褲子等衣物，戴著頭巾，被綁著扔進烈焰熊熊的火窯。因為王的命令緊急，窯燒得非常熱，火焰燒死了那些抬沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的人。

現在斧頭已經放在樹根上了，不結好果子的樹都要被砍下，丟在火裡。

「王又對左邊的人說，『你們這些被咒詛的人，走開！到專為魔鬼及其使者預備的永遠不滅的火裡去吧！
