玉律豈有瑕。祇守心自怡。聖典何皎潔。悅目驚新奇。

The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.

The law that brings respect for the Lord is pure. It lasts forever. The commands the Lord gives are true. All of them are completely right.

Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord.

You are righteous, Lord, And Your judgments are right.You have commanded Your testimonies in righteousness And great faithfulness.

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.Who is the person who desires life And loves length of days, that he may see good?Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit.Turn from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole Law which I am setting before you today?

“ Now these are the ordinances which you are to set before them:

And it will come about when I leave you that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to where I do not know; so when I come and inform Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, though I, your servant, have feared the Lord from my youth.

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep. Lord, You protect mankind and animals.

Give the king Your judgments, God, And Your righteousness to the king’s son.May he judge Your people with righteousness And Your afflicted with justice.

His ways succeed at all times; Yet Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he snorts at them.

Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, Lord, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, and remembering You, is the desire of our souls.

Ahab summoned Obadiah, who was in charge of the household.( Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly;for when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water.)

He said,“ Do not reach out your hand against the boy, and do not do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

He will bless those who fear the Lord, The small together with the great.

Wrongdoing speaks to the ungodly within his heart; There is no fear of God before his eyes.

because His judgments are true and righteous; for He has judged the great prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her sexual immorality, and He has avenged the blood of His bond servants on her.”

Now Joseph said to them on the third day,“ Do this and live, for I fear God:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; All those who follow His commandments have a good understanding; His praise endures forever.Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.His descendants will be mighty on the earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.Light shines in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment.For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever.

I have sworn and I will confirm it, That I will keep Your righteous judgments.

And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.

But the previous governors who were before me laid burdens on the people and took from them bread and wine besides forty shekels of silver; even their servants domineered the people. But I did not do so because of my fear of God.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You Because of Your righteous judgments.

Take away my disgrace which I dread, For Your judgments are good.

And I heard the altar saying,“ Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride, arrogance, the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate.

I will give thanks to You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments.

They said,“ Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, was divinely directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear a message from you.”

See then the kindness and severity of God: to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; for otherwise you too will be cut off.

as it is written:“ There is no righteous person, not even one;There is no one who understands, There is no one who seeks out God;They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, There is not even one.”“ Their throat is an open grave, With their tongues they keep deceiving,”“ The venom of asps is under their lips”;“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness”;“ Their feet are swift to shed blood,Destruction and misery are in their paths,And they have not known the way of peace.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

I know, Lord, that Your judgments are righteous, And that You have afflicted me in faithfulness.

He declares His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

And they* sang the song of Moses, the bond servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!
