The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.

The law that brings respect for the Lord is pure. It lasts forever. The commands the Lord gives are true. All of them are completely right.

Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair.

The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are reliable and altogether righteous.

The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true; they are righteous altogether.

Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!

[ Tsadhe] Righteous are you, O Lord, and right are your rules.You have appointed your testimonies in righteousness and in all faithfulness.

Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.What man is there who desires life and loves many days, that he may see good?Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so righteous as all this law that I set before you today?

“ Now these are the rules that you shall set before them.

And as soon as I have gone from you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you I know not where. And so, when I come and tell Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, although I your servant have feared the Lord from my youth.

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord.

Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice!

His ways prosper at all times; your judgments are on high, out of his sight; as for all his foes, he puffs at them.

In the path of your judgments, O Lord, we wait for you; your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul.

And Ahab called Obadiah, who was over the household.( Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly,and when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)

He said,“ Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great.

Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.

for his judgments are true and just; for he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”

On the third day Joseph said to them,“ Do this and you will live, for I fear God:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous.It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever.

I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to keep your righteous rules.

We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things.

The former governors who were before me laid heavy burdens on the people and took from them for their daily ration forty shekels of silver. Even their servants lorded it over the people. But I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous rules.

Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good.

And I heard the altar saying,“ Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!”

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules.

And they said,“ Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say.”

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

as it is written:“ None is righteous, no, not one;no one understands; no one seeks for God.All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”“ Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.”“ The venom of asps is under their lips.”“ Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood;in their paths are ruin and misery,and the way of peace they have not known.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

I know, O Lord, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.

He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and rules to Israel.

And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,“ Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!
