我在急難時祈求主、籲懇我天主、主自殿中俯聽我聲、我之籲懇達於主前、為主耳所聞、

幽冥之索綯重重。死地之羅網紛紛。

In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

於是彼得被囚在監裏，教會卻為他切切禱告上帝。

我要求告當讚美的耶和華，我必從仇敵手中被救出來。死亡的繩索勒住我，毀滅的急流驚嚇我，

那時，祭司和利未人起來，為百姓祝福。他們的聲音蒙上帝垂聽，他們的禱告達到他天上的聖所。

有一件事，我曾求耶和華，我仍要尋求，就是一生一世住在耶和華的殿中，瞻仰他的榮美，在他的殿宇裏求問。因為我遭遇患難，他必將我隱藏在他的帳棚裏，把我藏在他帳幕的隱密處，將我高舉在磐石上。

惟耶和華在他的聖殿中，全地都當在他面前肅靜。

我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我。

耶和華啊，我從深處求告你！主啊，求你聽我的聲音！求你側耳聽我懇求的聲音！

耶和華在他的聖殿裏，耶和華在天上的寶座上；他的眼睛察看，他的眼目察驗世人。

至於我，我必憑你豐盛的慈愛進入你的居所，我要存敬畏你的心向你的聖殿下拜。

過了許多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就嘆息哀求；他們因苦工所發出的哀聲達於上帝。

「上帝果真住在地上嗎？看哪，天和天上的天尚且不足容納你，何況我所建的這殿呢？惟求耶和華－我的上帝垂顧僕人的禱告祈求，俯聽僕人今日在你面前的祈禱呼求。願你的眼目晝夜看顧這殿，就是你說要作為你名的居所；求你垂聽禱告，你僕人向此處的禱告。你僕人和你百姓以色列向此處祈禱的時候，求你在你天上的居所垂聽，垂聽而赦免。

他說：「阿爸，父啊！在你凡事都能；求你將這杯撤去。然而，不是照我所願的，而是照你所願的。」

於是，上帝天上的聖所開了，在他聖所中，他的約櫃出現了；隨後有閃電、響聲、雷轟、地震、大冰雹。
