悲我身之遭厄兮。求恩主之矜憐。竟脫我於虎口兮。信慈惠之無邊。

yea, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead:

For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil- doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.He trusteth on God; let him deliver him now, if he desireth him: for he said, I am the Son of God.And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.

And all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and they laid hold on Paul, and dragged him out of the temple: and straightway the doors were shut.

In that hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and staves to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and ye took me not.

Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: abide ye here, and watch with me.And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
