Lord, you gave me strength to fight the battle. You made my enemies humble in front of me.

蓋爾以力束我、使備戰爭、起而攻我者、俾服於我兮、

爾賜以膂力、能於戰鬥、使逆我者敗亡兮、

主賜我以力、使我能戰、使攻擊我者俱服於我下、

紛紛負傷兮倒於地。僵臥足下兮不復起。

You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.

For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me.

You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.

You have clothed me with strength for battle; you subdue my adversaries beneath me.

For You have encircled me with strength for battle; You have forced those who rose up against me to bow down under me.

For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

You have clothed me with strength for battle; You subdue my adversaries beneath me.

You give me strength for battle; you make my foes kneel before me.

For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

God gives me strength for the battle. He keeps my way secure.

Sinners will be killed by their own evil. The enemies of godly people will be judged.

God placed all things under Christ’s rule. He appointed him to be ruler over everything for the church.

The Lord says to the people of Jerusalem,“ You will get everything Egypt produces. You will receive everything the people of Cush and the tall Sabeans get in trade. All of it will belong to you. And all these people will walk behind you as slaves. They will be put in chains and come over to you. They will bow down to you. They will admit,‘ God is with you. There is no other God.’ ”

He has the power to bring everything under his control. By his power he will change our earthly bodies. They will become like his glorious body.

Lord, you gave me strength to fight the battle. You caused my enemies to be humble in front of me.You made them turn their backs and run away. So I destroyed my enemies.

Those who chase us are right behind us. We’re tired and can’t get any rest.

Say to God,“ What wonderful things you do! Your power is so great that your enemies bow down to you in fear.

Whoever hates me hates my Father also.

But those who don’t find me harm only themselves. Everyone who hates me loves death.”

I will make the arms of the king of Babylon stronger. I will put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh. And he will groan in front of Nebuchadnezzar. He will cry out like someone dying from his wounds.I will make the arms of the king of Babylon stronger. But the arms of Pharaoh will not be able to help Egypt. I will put my sword in Nebuchadnezzar’s hand. He will get ready to use it against Egypt. Then they will know that I am the Lord.

Christ must rule until he has put all his enemies under his control.The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.Scripture says that God“ has put everything under his control.”( Psalm 8:6) It says that“ everything” has been put under him. But it is clear that this does not include God himself. That’s because God put everything under Christ.When he has done that, the Son also will be under God’s rule. God put everything under the Son. In that way, God will be all in all.

He said to them,“ The Lord your God is with you. He’s given you peace and rest on every side. He’s handed over to me the people who are living in the land. The land has been brought under the control of the Lord and his people.
