to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.

To those who are pure you show that you are pure. But to those whose paths are crooked you show that you are clever.

with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.

You prove to be reliable to one who is blameless, but you prove to be deceptive to one who is perverse.

Though He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet He gives grace to the needy.

‘ And if by these things you do not learn your lesson regarding Me, but you show hostility toward Me,then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.

‘ Yet if in spite of this you do not obey Me, but act with hostility against Me,then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I for My part will punish you seven times for your sins.

For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and restraint and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,who will repay each person according to his deeds:
