With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;

Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.“ This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” (niv)

Blessed are those who have regard for the weak; the Lord delivers them in times of trouble.The Lord protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness.I said,“ Have mercy on me, Lord; heal me, for I have sinned against you.” (niv)

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. (niv)

“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die.But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life.Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die.Yet the Israelites say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ Are my ways unjust, people of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?“ Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. (niv)

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. (niv)

then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, condemning the guilty by bringing down on their heads what they have done, and vindicating the innocent by treating them in accordance with their innocence. (niv)

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.“ Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (niv)

and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and,“ You reward everyone according to what they have done.” (niv)

The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. (niv)

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them, (niv)

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. (niv)

What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! (niv)
