from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

耶和華歟、以手援我、脫於斯世之人、其業乃在今生兮、爾以財貨充其懷、子孫遂其欲、餘業遺於後嗣兮、

耶和華兮、手援拯我、斯世害予兮、爾其免我、乃彼至今兮、反得福祜、富有兮豐亨、寖昌兮寢熾、業遺於子孫、

求主以手救我、脫離此世界之人、彼眾今生享福、主賜之財寶、滿其所欲、子孫眾多、又將盈餘留於後裔、

更望賜提撕。俾與鄉願隔。鄉願生斯世。但為斯世活。以主無盡藏。暢恣其口腹。金玉既滿堂。有子萬事足。積蓄遺兒孫。繩繩相承續。

By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life. May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.

Lord, by your power save me from people like that. They belong to this world. They get their reward in this life. May what you have stored up for evil people fill their bellies. May their children’s stomachs be filled with it. And may there even be leftovers for their little ones.

from men by your hand, O Lord, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.

By the power of your hand, O Lord, destroy those who look to this world for their reward. But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones. May their children have plenty, leaving an inheritance for their descendants.

With your hand, LORD, save me from men, from men of the world whose portion is in this life: You fill their bellies with what you have in store; their sons are satisfied, and they leave their surplus to their children.

With Your hand, Lord, save me from men, from men of the world whose portion is in this life: You fill their bellies with what You have in store; their sons are satisfied, and they leave their surplus to their children.

From men[ which are] thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world,[ which have] their portion in[ this] life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid[ treasure]: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their[ substance] to their babes.

LORD, use your power to deliver me from these murderers, from the murderers of this world! They enjoy prosperity; you overwhelm them with the riches they desire. They have many children, and leave their wealth to their offspring.

“ But Abraham said,‘ Son, remember that you, in your lifetime, received your good things, and Lazarus, in the same way, bad things. But here he is now comforted, and you are in anguish.

I will tell my soul,“ Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

for when he dies he will carry nothing away. His glory won’t descend after him.Though while he lived he blessed his soul— and men praise you when you do well for yourself—he shall go to the generation of his fathers. They shall never see the light.

“ His lord commended the dishonest manager because he had done wisely, for the children of this world are, in their own generation, wiser than the children of the light.

Yet he filled their houses with good things, but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

He said to them,“ You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;he may prepare it, but the just will put it on, and the innocent will divide the silver.

Who doesn’t know that in all these, Yahweh’s hand has done this,

“ Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.

“ Why do the wicked live, become old, yes, and grow mighty in power?Their child is established with them in their sight, their offspring before their eyes.Their houses are safe from fear, neither is the rod of God upon them.Their bulls breed without fail. Their cows calve, and don’t miscarry.They send out their little ones like a flock. Their children dance.They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the pipe.They spend their days in prosperity. In an instant they go down to Sheol.They tell God,‘ Depart from us, for we don’t want to know about your ways.What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What profit should we have, if we pray to him?’

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

“ He said,‘ I ask you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house;for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, so they won’t also come into this place of torment.’

For what does he care for his house after him, when the number of his months is cut off?

The tents of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are secure, who carry their god in their hands.

You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures:

For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.

“ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
