更望賜提撕。俾與鄉願隔。鄉願生斯世。但為斯世活。以主無盡藏。暢恣其口腹。金玉既滿堂。有子萬事足。積蓄遺兒孫。繩繩相承續。

By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life. May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.

Lord, by your power save me from people like that. They belong to this world. They get their reward in this life. May what you have stored up for evil people fill their bellies. May their children’s stomachs be filled with it. And may there even be leftovers for their little ones.

from men by your hand, O Lord, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.

By the power of your hand, O Lord, destroy those who look to this world for their reward. But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones. May their children have plenty, leaving an inheritance for their descendants.

「亞伯拉罕說，『孩子啊！你要想想，你生前享福，而拉撒路受苦；如今他在這裡得到安慰，而你受折磨。

那時，我就可以對自己說，「你積存這麼多財產，一生享用不盡，現在大可高枕無憂、盡情地吃喝玩樂吧！」』但上帝對他說，『無知的人啊！今晚就要取走你的命！你所預備的一切留給誰享用呢？』」耶穌說：「這就是那些只顧為自己積財、在上帝面前卻不富足之人的寫照。」

如果你們屬於這個世界，世人一定會愛你們。可是你們不屬於這世界，我已經把你們揀選出來，因此世人恨你們。

因為他們死後什麼也帶不走，再不能擁有榮華富貴。他們活著時自以為有福，人們都讚揚他們的成就，到頭來他們還是要歸到祖先那裡，再也看不見光明。

「主人誇獎這個不義的管家精明。因為今世的兒女在處理世事方面比光明的兒女更精明。

然而，是上帝把美物充滿他們的家；因此，我決不苟同他們的想法。

耶穌對他們說：「你們是從下面來的，我是從上面來的。你們屬於這世界，我不屬於這世界。

我已將你的道賜給他們，世人恨他們，因為他們像我一樣不屬於這個世界。

他的兒女再多也難逃殺戮，他的子孫永遠吃不飽。他倖存的後人被瘟疫吞噬，生還的寡婦也不哀哭。儘管他堆積的銀子多如塵沙，儲存的衣服高若土堆，但義人將穿他儲存的衣服，清白的人將分他堆積的銀子。

牠們當中哪個不知這是耶和華所為？

人生不過是幻影，勞碌奔波卻一場空，積蓄財富卻不知誰來享用。

為何惡人活著，得享長壽，勢力強大？他們的兒孫圍繞膝前，他們得見後代茁壯成長。他們家中平安無懼，他們不被上帝杖打。他們的公牛繁殖力強，他們的母牛從不掉胎。他們讓孩童像羊群一樣走到戶外，盡情地歡跳。他們伴著鈴鼓和豎琴歌唱，在笛聲中歡喜不已。他們一生幸福，安然下到陰間。他們對上帝說，『離開我們，我們不想學習你的道。全能者是誰，竟要我們事奉祂？向祂禱告有何益處？』

孩子們，你們屬於上帝，你們已經勝過了那些假先知，因為在你們裡面的聖靈比在世上運行的邪靈更有能力。他們屬於世界，所以他們談論的都是世俗的事，世人也聽從他們。

「財主說，『我的先祖啊，那麼求你派拉撒路去我父親家裡，因為我有五個弟兄。讓拉撒路去警告他們，以免他們也來到這痛苦的地方。』

因為他們的歲月一旦度盡，又怎會關心身後的家人？

強盜的帳篷太平，冒犯上帝、手捧神像的人安穩。

你們在世上奢侈享樂，在被宰殺的日子裡，把自己養得肥肥胖胖。

尋它如尋銀子，找它如找寶藏，

我看見狂傲的惡人亨通就心懷不平。他們一生平順，健康強壯。他們不像別人受苦，不像世人遭難。他們把驕傲作項鏈戴在頸上，把暴力作外袍裹在身上。他們胖得眼睛凸出，心中充滿罪惡。

「天國就像藏在地裡的寶貝，有人發現了，就把它埋好，然後歡然變賣他所有的財產去買那塊地。

看這些惡人，他們總是生活安逸，財富日增。
