Hear me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer— it does not rise from deceitful lips.

Lord, hear me, because I ask for what is right. Listen to my cry for help. Hear my prayer. It doesn’t come from lips that tell lies.

O Lord, hear my plea for justice. Listen to my cry for help. Pay attention to my prayer, for it comes from honest lips.

But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me!

I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy.

Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.

Attend to me, and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and I moan,because of the noise of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they drop trouble upon me, and in anger they bear a grudge against me.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him,“ Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”
