The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!

在世聖徒、乃為顯貴、我所深悅兮、

斯世之人為聖為潔兮、我甚欣喜、

世間聖潔之人、盡美盡善、我甚喜悅之、

城中諸聖人。亦是我所親。同游聖教中。其樂何融融。

I say of the holy people who are in the land,“ They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”

I say about God’s people who live in our land,“ They are the noble ones. I take great delight in them.”

As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.

As for the holy people who are in the land, they are the noble ones. All my delight is in them.

As for the saints who are on the earth, They are the majestic ones; all my delight is in them.

As for the saints who are on the earth,“ They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”

As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

As for the holy people who are in the land, they are the noble ones. All my delight is in them.

[ But] to the saints that[ are] in the earth, and[ to] the excellent, in whom[ is] all my delight.

As for God’s chosen people who are in the land, and the leading officials I admired so much–

As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

“ They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.“ On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child.

Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.

This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am writing to God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.

Never again will you be called“ The Forsaken City” or“ The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be“ The City of God’s Delight” and“ The Bride of God,” for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as his bride.

The Lord cares deeply when his loved ones die.

And how happy I was with the world he created; how I rejoiced with the human family!

The godly give good advice to their friends; the wicked lead them astray.

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for herto make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.

Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone— especially to those in the family of faith.

I am a friend to anyone who fears you— anyone who obeys your commandments.

“ But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias,“ I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem!

“ And now arise, O Lord God, and enter your resting place, along with the Ark, the symbol of your power. May your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation; may your loyal servants rejoice in your goodness.

I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.

If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion— how can God’s love be in that person?

Sing to the Lord, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.

I am my lover’s, and he claims me as his own.

You are beautiful, my darling, beautiful beyond words. Your eyes are like doves behind your veil. Your hair falls in waves, like a flock of goats winding down the slopes of Gilead.Your teeth are as white as sheep, recently shorn and freshly washed. Your smile is flawless, each tooth matched with its twin.Your lips are like scarlet ribbon; your mouth is inviting. Your cheeks are like rosy pomegranates behind your veil.Your neck is as beautiful as the tower of David, jeweled with the shields of a thousand heroes.Your breasts are like two fawns, twin fawns of a gazelle grazing among the lilies.Before the dawn breezes blow and the night shadows flee, I will hurry to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of frankincense.You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way.
