Yahweh upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.

耶和华扶持谦卑人，将恶人倾覆于地。

謙卑者、耶和華扶之、作惡者、傾之於地兮、

耶和華兮、貧乏者扶祐之、作惡者傾覆之兮。

主扶起謙卑之人、降卑惡人至於塵埃、

扶持謙卑者。傾覆傲慢人。

The Lord sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

The Lord gives strength to those who aren’t proud. But he throws evil people down to the ground.

The Lord lifts up the humble; he casts the wicked to the ground.

The Lord supports the humble, but he brings the wicked down into the dust.

The LORD helps the oppressed but brings the wicked to the ground.

The Lord supports the afflicted; He brings the wicked down to the ground.

Jehovah upholdeth the meek: He bringeth the wicked down to the ground.

The LORD lifts up the oppressed, but knocks the wicked to the ground.

Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but he turns the way of the wicked upside down.

He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

Yahweh upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.

Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

But the humble shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

For if God didn’t spare angels when they sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus, and committed them to pits of darkness to be reserved for judgment;and didn’t spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, having made them an example to those who would live in an ungodly way;and delivered righteous Lot, who was very distressed by the lustful life of the wicked( for that righteous man dwelling among them was tormented in his righteous soul from day to day with seeing and hearing lawless deeds):the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,

For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.

Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh’s anger.

But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.
