蓋彼固爾門楗、錫嘏爾中子女兮、

爾之門楗、既堅既固、爾之人民、鍚福鍚祉、主使然兮、

因主使爾門之扃堅固、賜福於爾中居民、

主既堅爾城。又復鞏爾門。

He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you.

He makes the metal bars of your gates stronger. He blesses the people who live inside you.

For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your children within you.

For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls.

For he strengthens the bars of your city gates and blesses your children within you.

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your sons among you.

For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you.

For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.

Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive plants around your table.Behold, thus is the man blessed who fears Yahweh.May Yahweh bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.One will say,‘ I am Yahweh’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand‘ to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”

Thanksgiving will proceed out of them with the voice of those who make merry. I will multiply them, and they will not be few; I will also glorify them, and they will not be small.Their children also will be as before, and their congregation will be established before me. I will punish all who oppress them.

Then our sons will be like well- nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate. They sanctified it, and set up its doors. They sanctified it even to the tower of Hammeah, to the tower of Hananel.Next to him the men of Jericho built. Next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs.Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the Lord’s work.Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its bolts, and its bars.Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River.Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah, one of the perfumers, made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the wide wall.Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs.Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs.Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters, made repairs.Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate.Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars.Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah repaired the spring gate. He built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from David’s city.After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.

The priests and the Levites purified themselves; and they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

saying,“ If you, even you, had known today the things which belong to your peace! But now, they are hidden from your eyes.For the days will come on you, when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side,and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn’t know the time of your visitation.”

Yahweh says:“ I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the middle of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called‘ The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies,‘ The Holy Mountain.’”Yahweh of Armies says:“ Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.”

I said to them,“ Don’t let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they stand guard, let them shut the doors, and you bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, everyone in his watch, with everyone near his house.”

Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, and to Geshem the Arabian, and to the rest of our enemies, that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it( though even to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates)

Now when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed,

Yahweh has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out the line. He has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall lament. They languish together.Her gates have sunk into the ground. He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not. Yes, her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.

Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.

Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers.Notice her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation.For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death.

The kings of the earth didn’t believe, neither did all the inhabitants of the world, that the adversary and the enemy would enter into the gates of Jerusalem.

“ Know therefore and discern that from the going out of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem to the Anointed One, the prince, will be seven weeks and sixty- two weeks. It will be built again, with street and moat, even in troubled times.
