因主使爾門之扃堅固、賜福於爾中居民、

主既堅爾城。又復鞏爾門。

He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses your people within you.

He makes the metal bars of your gates stronger. He blesses the people who live inside you.

And next to him Meshullam the son of Berechiah the son of Meshezabel made repairs. And next to him Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs.Malchijah the son of Harim and Hasshub the son of Pahath moab repaired another section and the Tower of Furnaces.Next to him Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the official of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs, he and his daughters.Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the Valley Gate. They built it and installed its doors with its bolts and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall to the Dung Gate.And Malchijah the son of Rechab, the official of the district of Beth haccherem repaired the Dung Gate. He built it and installed its doors with its bolts and its bars.Shallum the son of Col hozeh, the official of the district of Mizpah, repaired the Fountain Gate. He built it, made a roof for it, and installed its doors with its bolts and its bars, and the wall of the Pool of Shelah at the king’s garden as far as the steps that descend from the city of David.After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, official of half the district of Beth zur, made repairs as far as a point opposite the tombs of David, and as far as the artificial pool and the house of the mighty men.

The priests and the Levites purified themselves; they also purified the people, the gates, and the wall.

saying,“ If you had known on this day, even you, the conditions for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes.For the days will come upon you when your enemies will put up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side,and they will level you to the ground, and throw down your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”

The Lord says this:‘ I will return to Zion and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord of armies will be called the Holy Mountain.’The Lord of armies says this:‘ Old men and old women will again sit in the public squares of Jerusalem, each person with his staff in his hand because of age.And the public squares of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in its squares.’

Then I said to them,“ The gates of Jerusalem are not to be opened until the sun is hot, and while they are standing guard, the gatekeepers are to keep the doors shut and bolted. Also appoint guards from the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each at his post, and each in front of his own house.”

Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach was left in it, although at that time I had not installed the doors in the gates,

Now when the wall was rebuilt and I had installed the doors, and the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites were appointed,

The Lord determined to destroy The wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out a line, He has not restrained His hand from destroying, And He has caused rampart and wall to mourn; They have languished together.Her gates have sunk into the ground, He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her leaders are among the nations; The Law is gone. Her prophets, too, find No vision from the Lord.

By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.

Mount Zion shall be glad, The daughters of Judah shall rejoice Because of Your judgments.Walk around Zion and encircle her; Count her towers;Consider her ramparts; Go through her palaces, So that you may tell of her to the next generation.For such is God, Our God forever and ever; He will lead us until death.

The kings of the earth did not believe, Nor did any of the inhabitants of the world, That the adversary and the enemy Would enter the gates of Jerusalem.

So you are to know and understand that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, until Messiah the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks; it will be built again, with streets and moat, even in times of distress.
