whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

They tell all kinds of lies with their mouths. Even when they make a promise by raising their right hands, they don’t mean it.

They visit me as if they were my friends, but all the while they gather gossip, and when they leave, they spread it everywhere.

The poor, deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask,“ Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?”

He required everyone— small and great, rich and poor, free and slave— to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.

while the wicked slander me and tell lies about me.They surround me with hateful words and fight against me for no reason.

These wicked people are born sinners; even from birth they have lied and gone their own way.

And if your hand— even your stronger hand— causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Their mouths are full of cursing, lies, and threats. Trouble and evil are on the tips of their tongues.

Now I raise my hand to heaven and declare,“ As surely as I live,

Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I solemnly swear to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

They hatch deadly snakes and weave spiders’ webs. Whoever eats their eggs will die; whoever cracks them will hatch a viper.Their webs can’t be made into clothing, and nothing they do is productive. All their activity is filled with sin, and violence is their trademark.Their feet run to do evil, and they rush to commit murder. They think only about sinning. Misery and destruction always follow them.
