日後我之少男、如長成之樹、我之女子、如屋隅之石、依宮殿之式而雕鏤兮、

使我男子、既壯且健、如園囿之林木、枝葉葱蘢兮、使我女子、洵美且都、如宮殿之柱石、雕鏤工巧兮。

求主使我男子幼年剛強、如栽培之樹木、使我女子容貌美麗、如殿角雕刻之石柱、

願使我子孫。萌蘖成大樹。女子閑坤範。堪充宮中柱。

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

While our sons are young, they will be like healthy plants. Our daughters will be like pillars that have been made to decorate a palace.

May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;

May our sons flourish in their youth like well nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.

Then our sons will be like plants nurtured in their youth, our daughters, like corner pillars that are carved in the palace style.

When our sons in their youth are like growing plants, And our daughters like corner pillars fashioned for a palace,

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; That our daughters may be as pillars, Sculptured in palace style;

When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner- stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;

Then our sons will be like plants nurtured in their youth, our daughters, like corner pillars that are carved in the palace style.

That our sons[ may be] as plants grown up in their youth;[ that] our daughters[ may be] as corner stones, polished[ after] the similitude of a palace:

Then our sons will be like plants, that quickly grow to full size. Our daughters will be like corner pillars, carved like those in a palace.

Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive plants around your table.

For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring:and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.One will say,‘ I am Yahweh’s;’ and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand‘ to Yahweh,’ and honor the name of Israel.”

May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.

In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth.Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They won’t be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Her lamp doesn’t go out by night.She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.She opens her arms to the poor; yes, she extends her hands to the needy.She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet.She makes for herself carpets of tapestry. Her clothing is fine linen and purple.Her husband is respected in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.She makes linen garments and sells them, and delivers sashes to the merchant.Strength and dignity are her clothing. She laughs at the time to come.She opens her mouth with wisdom. Kind instruction is on her tongue.She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn’t eat the bread of idleness.

We have a little sister. She has no breasts. What shall we do for our sister in the day when she is to be spoken for?If she is a wall, we will build on her a turret of silver. If she is a door, we will enclose her with boards of cedar.

The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how they are esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

Moreover Yahweh said,“ Because the daughters of Zion are arrogant, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking to trip as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet;therefore the Lord brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, and Yahweh will make their scalps bald.”In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces,the earrings, the bracelets, the veils,the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume containers, the charms,the signet rings, the nose rings,the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses,the hand mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.It shall happen that instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of well set hair, baldness; instead of a robe, a wearing of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.
