日後我之少男、如長成之樹、我之女子、如屋隅之石、依宮殿之式而雕鏤兮、

使我男子、既壯且健、如園囿之林木、枝葉葱蘢兮、使我女子、洵美且都、如宮殿之柱石、雕鏤工巧兮。

求主使我男子幼年剛強、如栽培之樹木、使我女子容貌美麗、如殿角雕刻之石柱、

願使我子孫。萌蘖成大樹。女子閑坤範。堪充宮中柱。

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

While our sons are young, they will be like healthy plants. Our daughters will be like pillars that have been made to decorate a palace.

May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;

May our sons flourish in their youth like well nurtured plants. May our daughters be like graceful pillars, carved to beautify a palace.

Then our sons will be like plants nurtured in their youth, our daughters, like corner pillars that are carved in the palace style.

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; That our daughters may be as pillars, Sculptured in palace style;

When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth, And our daughters as corner- stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;

Then our sons will be like plants nurtured in their youth, our daughters, like corner pillars that are carved in the palace style.

That our sons[ may be] as plants grown up in their youth;[ that] our daughters[ may be] as corner stones, polished[ after] the similitude of a palace:

Then our sons will be like plants, that quickly grow to full size. Our daughters will be like corner pillars, carved like those in a palace.

Then our sons will be like well- nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants;And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.’This one will say,‘ I am the Lord’s’; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write on his hand,‘ Belonging to the Lord,’ And will give himself Israel’s name with honor.

An excellent wife, who can find her? For her worth is far above jewels.The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain.She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.She looks for wool and linen, And works with her hands in delight.She is like merchant ships; She brings her food from afar.And she rises while it is still night And gives food to her household, And portions to her attendants.She considers a field and buys it; From her earnings she plants a vineyard.She surrounds her waist with strength And makes her arms strong.She senses that her profit is good; Her lamp does not go out at night.She stretches out her hands to the distaff, And her hands grasp the spindle.She extends her hand to the poor, And she stretches out her hands to the needy.She is not afraid of the snow for her household, For all her household are clothed with scarlet.She makes coverings for herself; Her clothing is fine linen and purple.Her husband is known in the gates, When he sits among the elders of the land.She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies belts to the tradesmen.Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future.She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.She watches over the activities of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.

“ We have a little sister, And she has no breasts; What shall we do for our sister On the day when she is spoken for?If she is a wall, We will build on her a battlement of silver; But if she is a door, We will barricade her with planks of cedar.”

The precious sons of Zion, Weighed against pure gold, How they are regarded as earthenware jars, The work of a potter’s hands!
