使我男子、既壯且健、如園囿之林木、枝葉葱蘢兮、使我女子、洵美且都、如宮殿之柱石、雕鏤工巧兮。

求主使我男子幼年剛強、如栽培之樹木、使我女子容貌美麗、如殿角雕刻之石柱、

願使我子孫。萌蘖成大樹。女子閑坤範。堪充宮中柱。

Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

While our sons are young, they will be like healthy plants. Our daughters will be like pillars that have been made to decorate a palace.

May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace;

Then our sons will be like plants, that quickly grow to full size. Our daughters will be like corner pillars, carved like those in a palace.

Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your sons, like young olive trees around your table.

Our sister is young; she has no breasts. What will we do for our sister on the day she is spoken for?If she is a wall, we will build a silver parapet on it. If she is a door, we will enclose it with cedar planks.
