靜候主好音。長夜豈無曙。一心惟盼主。指我當行路。

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

In the morning let me hear about your faithful love, because I’ve put my trust in you. Show me the way I should live, because I trust you with my life.

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

This is what the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says: I am the LORD your God, who teaches you for your benefit, who leads you in the way you should go.

God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns.

and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you:“ This is the way. Walk in it.”

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.

Because of my adversaries, show me your way, LORD, and lead me on a level path.

The LORD will send his faithful love by day; his song will be with me in the night— a prayer to the God of my life.

LORD, I appeal to you.My God, I trust in you. Do not let me be disgraced; do not let my enemies gloat over me.

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me on level ground.

But I will sing of your strength and will joyfully proclaim your faithful love in the morning. For you have been a stronghold for me, a refuge in my day of trouble.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with my eye on you, I will give counsel.

For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor, a lifetime. Weeping may stay overnight, but there is joy in the morning.

Satisfy us in the morning with your faithful love so that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.

Bring joy to your servant’s life, because I appeal to you, Lord.

Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding so that I can learn your commands.

Let’s lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven:

LORD, lead me in your righteousness because of my adversaries; make your way straight before me.

Help me understand your instruction, and I will obey it and follow it with all my heart.

Let’s strive to know the LORD. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land.

Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him until daybreak.When the man saw that he could not defeat him, he struck Jacob’s hip socket as they wrestled and dislocated his hip.Then he said to Jacob,“ Let me go, for it is daybreak.” But Jacob said,“ I will not let you go unless you bless me.”“ What is your name?” the man asked.“ Jacob,” he replied.“ Your name will no longer be Jacob,” he said.“ It will be Israel because you have struggled with God and with men and have prevailed.”Then Jacob asked him,“ Please tell me your name.” But he answered,“ Why do you ask my name?” And he blessed him there.
