They treat me like those who descend into the grave. I am like a helpless man,adrift among the dead, like corpses lying in the grave, whom you remember no more, and who are cut off from your power.You place me in the lowest regions of the pit, in the dark places, in the watery depths.

I am oppressed and needy! O God, hurry to me! You are my helper and my deliverer! O LORD, do not delay!

How long, LORD, will you continue to ignore me? How long will you pay no attention to me?How long must I worry, and suffer in broad daylight? How long will my enemy gloat over me?Look at me! Answer me, O LORD my God! Revive me, or else I will die!Then my enemy will say,“ I have defeated him!” Then my foes will rejoice because I am upended.

For innumerable dangers surround me. My sins overtake me so I am unable to see; they outnumber the hairs of my head so my strength fails me.Please be willing, O LORD, to rescue me! O LORD, hurry and help me!

I am oppressed and needy! May the Lord pay attention to me! You are my helper and my deliverer! O my God, do not delay!

I am exhausted from shouting for help; my throat is sore; my eyes grow tired of looking for my God.

Do you accomplish amazing things for the dead? Do the departed spirits rise up and give you thanks?( Selah)Is your loyal love proclaimed in the grave, or your faithfulness in the place of the dead?

O God, do not remain far away from me! My God, hurry and help me!

For I will not be hostile forever or perpetually angry, for then man’s spirit would grow faint before me, the life-giving breath I created.

For he did not despise or detest the suffering of the oppressed; he did not ignore him; when he cried out to him, he responded.

I desperately want to be in the courts of the LORD’s temple. My heart and my entire being shout for joy to the living God.

I will wait patiently for the LORD, who has rejected the family of Jacob; I will wait for him.

People will be fainting from fear and from the expectation of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
