But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge— do not give me over to death.

因為、主永恆主啊，我的眼只向着你；我避難於你裏面；求你不要將我的性命傾倒淨盡。

然而主耶和華啊，我的眼睛望著你！我投靠了你，求你不要讓我暴露在危險中。

主耶和華歟、我目望爾、我身託庇於爾、勿傾我命兮、

我主耶和華兮、我仰望爾、我倚賴爾、勿我遐棄兮、

我舉目盼望主我之天主、我惟仰賴主、求主莫傾滅我命、

我今處危厄。時時虞隕越。吾目惟望主。

But Lord and King, I keep looking to you for help. I go to you for safety. Don’t let me die.

But my eyes are toward you, O God, my Lord; in you I seek refuge; leave me not defenseless!

I look to you for help, O Sovereign Lord. You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me.

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy.

My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.

“ The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.

Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me:“ Flee like a bird to your mountain.

The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in the darkness like those long dead.So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.
