義者責我、我以為仁慈、視若香膏、屢膏余首、無不悅懌、余有所祈、勿為惡者株連兮。

寧受賢人責。苦口是良藥。莫受惡人諛。蜜中含辛螫。任憑彼作惡。吾禱終不輟。

Let a righteous man strike me— that is a kindness; let him rebuke me— that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

If a godly person hit me, it would be an act of kindness. If they would correct me, it would be like pouring olive oil on my head. I wouldn’t say no to it. I will always pray against the things that sinful people do.

Let the godly strike me! It will be a kindness! If they correct me, it is soothing medicine. Don’t let me refuse it. But I pray constantly against the wicked and their deeds.

It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.

As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.

For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.For before some people came from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.And the rest of the Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all,“ If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?

Flog a scoffer, and the simple will learn prudence; rebuke one who has understanding, and he will gain knowledge.

Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.

As he talked with him, the king said to him,“ Have we made you one of the king’s counselors? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” Then the prophet stopped, and said,“ I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.”

Better is open rebuke than hidden love.The wounds of a friend are faithful, although the kisses of an enemy are profuse.

that this shall be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. When Yahweh has dealt well with my lord, then remember your servant.”David said to Abigail,“ Blessed is Yahweh, the God of Israel, who sent you today to meet me!Blessed is your discretion, and blessed are you, who have kept me today from blood guiltiness, and from avenging myself with my own hand.For indeed, as Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, who has withheld me from harming you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, surely there wouldn’t have been left to Nabal by the morning light so much as one who urinates on a wall.”

But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

A fool despises his father’s correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.

Don’t reprove a scoffer, lest he hate you. Reprove a wise person, and he will love you.Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.

As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.

Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him,“ Because you have relied on the king of Syria, and have not relied on Yahweh your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped out of your hand.Weren’t the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge army, with chariots and exceedingly many horsemen? Yet, because you relied on Yahweh, he delivered them into your hand.For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.

Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.

Nathan said to David,“ You are the man. This is what Yahweh, the God of Israel, says:‘ I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul.I gave you your master’s house, and your master’s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that would have been too little, I would have added to you many more such things.Why have you despised Yahweh’s word, to do that which is evil in his sight? You have struck Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.Now therefore the sword will never depart from your house, because you have despised me, and have taken Uriah the Hittite’s wife to be your wife.’“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.For you did this secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.’”David said to Nathan,“ I have sinned against Yahweh.” Nathan said to David,“ Yahweh also has put away your sin. You will not die.

May the Lord grant mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain,but when he was in Rome, he sought me diligently and found me( the Lord grant to him to find the Lord’s mercy in that day); and in how many things he served at Ephesus, you know very well.
